Montgomery Bonbon: Scandal on the Stage

Meet the world’s greatest detective in disguise! With a false moustache, a beret and a trench coat, 10-year-old Bonnie Montgomery becomes renowned super sleuth … MONTGOMERY BONBON.

A brilliantly funny murder mystery from stand-up comedian, podcaster and filmmaker Alasdair Beckett-King, with illustrations by Claire Powell.

“Knives Out meets Poirot – but for kids!” Radio 4

Bonnie Montgomery is at the local theatre group rehearsal when playwright Cynthia Cecil collapses on stage. Natural causes? Perhaps, but the world’s finest detective – and Bonnie’s alter-ego Montgomery Bonbon – heard a final, unscripted word with Cynthia’s last breath: “Murder!”

The cast were either within sight or backstage with rock-solid alibis. As opening night approaches, can Bonbon untangle lines from the truth, and expose a killer clever enough to get away with murder in front of an audience?
