Twist of Gold

Sean and Annie have one chance to escape the potato famine in Ireland, but they must leave their dying mother behind. They travel in search of their father, across rough seas, to a new land of hardship: America. There they busk on a city street, run a riverboat, join a wagon train across the prairies, and dig for gold.

It’s a long and dangerous journey, but their family’s survival depends upon it.
